Nowadays we can’t imagine life without our cell phones, right?
And it happens quite often that our smart-phone start to act like a few months after we bought them.
Yeah, I know It is frustrating but in most cases, we have only ourselves to blame and let’s face it. We don’t always handle it properly.
Can I ask you a few questions?
- How do you handle your phone?
- When did you last time read the user manual properly?
- How to charge the battery correctly?
- Why do these phone batteries decrease so quickly?
- What kind of wallpaper you are using on your devices?
- How do you clean your device port and display?
- How do you use your protective cases?
I have some amazing tips to save your phone.
Do you know you shouldn’t charge your battery until 0%?
Well, that’s not true because Li-polymer and lithium-ion batteries have no memory effect so you can charge your phone without waiting for 0.
The reason for this is that many manufacturers measure a battery’s life by the number of its full discharge cycles and it’s usually around 400-600 cycles.
So, to increase your smartphone’s battery life you should recharge it and more often.
The best option to charge your device when the battery power indicator drops into 15-20 %.
This will increase the number of discharge cycles up to 1000-1100 cycles.
Do you know charging overtime can kill your smartphone’s battery?
Lol no, It’s not true because an inbuilt controller stops the battery from taking more current than necessary.
So, there is no risk to charge your phone overtime but It also doesn’t mean you should keep all day charging because it was also necessary to leave the battery for work it is own.
You should keep your charge 40-80% to extend the life of your battery.
How to charge my phone for better collaboration?
It is very necessary to discharge your phone’s battery every 3 months to 0% and then immediately charge it to 100% to get a better collaboration.
What kind of charger you use for charging?
Yeah, I know We always want our phone but sometimes we need to charge our phone and huh, that’s time for us its fell like we are in hell.
So, we charge our phone with the first charger. Yes, sometimes it’s very necessary for us to charge our phone very quickly, but I recommend you to avoid using a fast charger like that to claim to charge your battery within one hour or less than one hour.
If you don’t need your phone importantly at that time.
At least, check your device manufacturer approves this charger or not.
Can I use any branded or unbranded charger which is available In the market?
Always avoid any type of un-branded charger which is available at cheap price.
Because they have very low quality and it might not have any in-build controllers and if you use a non-native charger it can be caused a fire in your house and another thing that can happen if you use non-native charger and cables is getting an electric shock.
So, for your safety purpose, I should like to recommend you to avoid this type of cheap charger.
Can you use your phone in very high temperatures?
Well no, you can’t. Because a high temperature is the worst thing you can imagine for your device’s lithium-ion battery. It can overheat your smartphone.
That’s why you should never expose them into direct sunlight or any other kind of heat sources.
Smartphones have very high-quality screens, but it’s not a good idea to use it in direct sunlight.
If you expose the screen to it the display colour might fade.
Can you use your phone at very low temperatures?
No, You can’t.
Huh, I can't use my phone in hot & I can’t use my phone in very cold then when I can use my phone??
Well, I’m not saying you absolutely can't use your phone in these kinds of whether you can, but it can kill your battery life.
So, I will suggest you put your smartphone in your jacket or you can put your phone in the outer pocket if it is in a protective case.
Low temperatures are also harmful to your battery because it needs more power to keep itself warm enough to function
For that’s the reason you might notice batteries get drained faster in cold weather.
How do you adjust your smartphone screen brightness?
When you checking time, missed calls, text messages you always look at the main display of your phone.
And a brighter colourful wallpaper can drink your battery’s life like we drink any cold drinks.
So, It’s better to use a black & white wallpaper for your phone and try to use your phone brightness level under 80% because in 80% brightness is enough to see all details what you need when you go in outside sunshine.
Also, you can check your friend’s missed calls or maybe you got a message from your crush but anyone doesn’t want any message from his/her boss right, Lol.
Okay, come to the point. If you want you can use the auto brightness sensor and it should be better than you manually adjust your phone’s brightness.
Do you use your phone when voltage fluctuated?
When the weather isn’t pleasant like this time when I write this or when we see thunderstorm outside then we might be bored in our rooms and decide to stream a song in any kind of online streaming site or maybe decided to play some video on youtube or maybe scrolling social site like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc or plan to charge our phone in this time.
Well, I should like to suggest you not to do this with your phone because during a thunderstorm smartphone can experience the worth of nature.
Network filters are meant to protect your devices from over voltage, but they would hardly withstand lighting. Its power can reach thousands of gigavolts.
Do you remove your protective case when you using it heavily or charging it with a fast charger?
If you are using a good protective case on your phone. Well, It can be very costly for your device life span because during a lengthy recharging season or maybe for a heavy gaming season like PUBG players are playing a game for a long time for a chicken dinner in PUBGs can make your phone slower causing of overheat.
You see there are so many different types of cases in the market that phone manufacturers can't take all the precautions.
So, if you are using a un-certified protective case you should always remove it when you need to charge or when you are playing any kind of heavy games for a long time.
Do you clean your smartphone ports?
You are carrying your phone in your bag or your pocket, right?
Well, its ports can become clogged with dust and small debris which might cause problems with the connection.
For the reason, you might notice your 3.5mm headphone jack doesn’t work properly because the dust gets inside and you don’t know about it and when you next time plugging your headphones you will only make the piece get even further in.
To remove the debris turn off the phone and clean it very carefully the ports with a toothpick and put a piece a soft lint-free cloth on its end and then plugged in.
To avoid this kind of situations make sure your pocket or the compartment in your bag is fully cleaned and it is exclusively for keeping your smartphone in it.
Do you wipe your smartphone display?
We love our smartphone. so we are using our smartphone all the time and that’s why they get pretty dirty over time.
To wipe the screen use lint-free wipers and whatever you do never use window cleaning liquids. They contain ammonia which can damage the screen.
Do you keep your phone far from water?
If you drop your smartphone into sink or pool. the first thing you should do after you get it out is to turn it off and remove the battery. If your phone has a removable battery.
Also remove sim-trays, memory cards if you use. And then put the container in a bowl of rice and started praying. The rice bowl will absorb the water and if you are a lucky person your phone will survive.
But it doesn’t mean you should taking your phone to places with high humidity if you love your phone.
How you handle your phone?
Hope you handle your phone very well but It’s my duty to aware you.
Don’t put your smartphone on the Dashboard when driving. Constantly moving and bumping can be a cause a lot of damage. It doesn’t happen quickly but all the little things add up over time to time.
Also, don’t carry in your hand in very hot weather due to the high temperature the smartphone heats up as well also your warm hands brings an even greater chance to overheat your phone and as a result, your phone will running slow.
Did you receive any software update after using 2 years on your phone?
Big companies give you software update in time to time but if you receive any update in your phone after 2 years when the model was released.
I cant recommended you to update your phone after two years later.
Believe me, It’s performance will be more become worst and it’s not because the manufacturer is greedy and wants to make you to buy the new model.
It’s just the technology are constantly developing and hardware stays the same.
They need to update the software to enhance the functionality which your phone doesn’t support. That’s why at least read user reviews before you hit the update button.
The problem with such updates is that its either very hard or impossible to go back to the previous version of the software.
Do you use cloud storage?
Everyone likes to see a memory card slot in their phone and it’s doesn’t matter how much internal storage you already have right?
Well, we always prefer download or save some files in external storage. But our external storage isn’t faster like Internal storage and It also might be the effect on the opening gallery or download something and It also corrupt sometimes.
When It corrupt we can’t back up our data. So, it’s better to use cloud storage instead of external storage and It also has some benefits like you don’t have to worry about losing your photos and It doesn’t make any effect on your device performance.
So, I should like to suggest you use cloud storage.
