BHEL Q1 Loss Widens Despite Flat Revenue

BHEL posted a wider pre-tax loss in Q1 FY26, as expenses rose and power segment revenue declined year-on-year.

  • Revenue stayed flat at Rs 5,486.91 crore, with just a 0.03% YoY increase in Q1 ended June 2025.
  • Pre-tax loss surged to Rs 608.04 crore, up from Rs 278.99 crore in the year-ago quarter.
  • Power revenue fell 5.55% YoY; industry segment grew 17.04%, partially offsetting the downturn.
