Cabinet Hikes PMKSY Outlay by Rs 1,920 Cr

The Union Cabinet raised the PMKSY budget to Rs 6,520 crore to strengthen India’s food processing infrastructure and safety systems.

  • 100 modern food testing labs to be set up, enhancing food quality standards and consumer safety nationwide.
  • The decision aims to boost agro-processing efficiency and farmers’ income under Pradhan Mantri Kisan Sampada Yojana.
