CCEA approved four rail multitracking projects, adding 574 km across six states, boosting infrastructure and employment generation.

• Projects span Maharashtra, MP, WB, Bihar, Odisha, and Jharkhand, covering 13 districts in total.
• Completion expected by 2028-29, enhancing Indian Railways' capacity and freight movement efficiency.
• Around 229 lakh human-days of employment will be generated during the construction phase.
