Deutsche Telekom, SAP, Ionos, and Schwarz are collaborating to secure EU funding, part of a $20 billion initiative, to build an AI data center (an “AI gigafactory”) in Germany. The project aims to boost European AI capabilities and digital sovereignty, facing hurdles like chip access and site selection.
