India Boosts LNG Import Capacity

India to raise LNG import capacity 27% by 2030, adding plants and expanding vehicle dispensing stations.

  • India targets 15% gas in energy mix by 2030, up from 6% now, to cut emissions.
  • LNG terminals will expand from the current eight, boosting total import capacity to 66.7 million tons yearly.
  • Dispensing stations to grow from 13 to 49 this year, reaching 1,000 by 2030 nationwide.
