India Cuts Edible Oil Duties, Boosts Refining

The Indian government lowered import duties on crude palm, soybean, and sunflower oil to 16.5% (from 27.5%), increasing the duty gap with refined oils. This aims to support domestic refining and stabilize/reduce prices for consumers without impacting import volumes.
