India Delays MIBOR Rate Publication

  Published 10 months ago

India shifts MIBOR publishing to 12:45 p.m. IST from August 4, using three hours of trading data for better accuracy.

  • MIBOR to reflect 9 AM–12 Noon call market trades, replacing the current one-hour data collection method.
  • FBIL’s SORR benchmark also publishes at 12:45 p.m., using similar three-hour repo market trade data.
  • RBI-backed change aims to improve rate accuracy as 70%-80% of daily volumes occur in the first three trading hours.
