India's CAD Narrows in Q1 FY26

India’s CAD narrowed to 0.2% of GDP in Q1 FY26, supported by higher services exports.

  • Merchandise trade deficit widened to USD 68.5 billion, compared with USD 63.8 billion in the previous year.
  • Net services receipts increased to USD 47.9 billion, driven by business services and computer services growth.
  • FDI inflows stood at USD 5.7 billion, while FPI inflows improved to USD 1.6 billion.
