India’s Forex Reserves Drop $3 Billion

India’s forex reserves fell $3.04 billion to $699.74 billion for the week ending July 4, RBI data showed.

  • Foreign currency assets dropped $3.53 billion to $591.29 billion; gold reserves rose $342 million to $84.5 billion.
  • SDR holdings increased slightly by $39 million to $18.86 billion during the week.
  • India’s reserve position with IMF declined $107 million to $4.73 billion, reflecting weekly reserve fluctuations.
