India’s M3 Money Supply Up 9.6%

India’s M3 money supply reached ₹281.77 lakh crore as of June 27, 2025, rising 1.2% fortnightly and 9.6% annually.

  • Currency with public rose 8% YoY to ₹37.22 lakh crore; demand deposits surged 17.1% to ₹32.15 lakh crore.
  • Time deposits increased 8.8% YoY, totaling ₹211.31 lakh crore, indicating steady savings growth.
  • Bank credit to commercial sector rose 10.1%, but growth slowed from 13.3% in the previous year’s same period.
