Pharma Stocks Drag Market Lower

Nifty Pharma fell 0.83% to 21,970.15; the index is down 2% in a month but up 2% YoY vs Nifty 50’s 2.47%.

  • Biocon, Abbott India, and Divis Labs were top laggards, falling 2.63%, 2.18%, and 1.24% respectively.
  • Nifty FMCG and Nifty IT also ended in red, down 0.72% and 0.48% respectively.
  • Broader markets declined as Nifty 50 slipped 0.30% and Sensex fell 0.38% to close at 80,710.25.
