PowerGrid Acquires MPTL for Transmission Project

PowerGrid Corporation acquired MPTL on June 4, 2025, via competitive bidding to build a 400kV transmission line in Madhya Pradesh. The project, developed under a BOOT model, supports power evacuation from Mahan Energen.

  • Acquisition includes 10,000 shares & MPTL’s assets.
  • MPTL was a newly formed non-operational entity.
  • No prior PowerGrid interest or related party deal.
