Punjab & Sind Q1 Profit Jumps 51%

Punjab & Sind Bank’s Q1 FY26 profit before tax rose 51% YoY to ₹323 crore, driven by strong business growth.

  • Total business grew 10.9% YoY; advances up 13.9%, deposits rose 8.8% to ₹1.31 lakh crore.
  • Asset quality improved with GNPA down 19.4%, gross NPA ratio at 3.34%, and net NPA ratio at 0.91%.
  • Capital adequacy ratio strengthened to 17.9%; CASA ratio slipped slightly to 30.59% despite 5.2% CASA growth.
