RBI Increases Gold Loan LTV Ratios

The RBI has revised Loan-to-Value (LTV) ratios for gold loans, increasing them to 85% for loans up to Rs 2.5 lakh. Higher loan amounts have slightly lower LTVs, with the new rules effective April 1, 2026.

  • LTV up to ₹2.5 lakh: 85%
  • ₹2.5-₹5 lakh loans: 80% LTV
  • Loans over ₹5 lakh: 75% LTV
