RBI Report: Currency & Reserve Money Update

As of May 23, 2025, India’s currency in circulation remained stable at Rs 38.42 lakh crore, while reserve money increased by 0.10%. Year over year, currency circulation rose by 7.2%, exceeding last year’s 4.1% growth.

Currency in circulation: Rs 38.42 lakh crore.
Reserve money grew 0.10% weekly.
Year-on-year currency rise: 7.2%.
